gary i would suggest buying some minnows and try them one weekend - don't want to do on a regular basis, but certainly can help answer the "catchable" question - we use them periodically on my lake and have not hurt the fish at all if handled properly - can be a way to see whats really in your pond - better yet, if you can find waterdogs, your largest bass will bite them on a regular basis and you can see what you have - just a thought
