Great question. Unfortunately, I don't have a great answer. We should have used one of those fun, fun tampers; but we didn't. Long term goal, but sudden opportunity when things came together and still serious lack of time to devote to it. What we did do was use really good clay, a large easy way plastics anti seep collar with lots of tar around pipe, and lots of packing with small bucket on excavator and with dozer. Not ideal, but I'm not anticipating any problems. We'll probably let it fill this winter to ensure good, then open valve, drain, contour, seed, etc. Next summer. Just have to see how goes with available time.
