Pond was probably first made about 79 years ago in connection with the drilling of an oil well. One of my brothers purchased the property probably about 35 years ago. I purchased from him probably about 15 years ago.

About 30 years ago, the pond was the best around and some of my best memories are associated with it. Fast forward a few years, people were sneaking in from all around to fish it crappies had gotten stocked, pond had stunted crappies and stunted bass.

About 10 years ago, I cut the dam and drained it. I did some work on it around 9 years ago, but never fixed the dam. I left it dry and it grew up in trees briars.

the pond was cleaned up, dam cleared off and rebuilt with 8" drain in botoom, bunch of contouring, etc donE this weekend Bunch yet to do, but great start to long term goal.
