I know, but the majority has turned out to be either southern naiad or sago pondweed.

So, a mid-summer update. I treated a large circular area around my dock with Aquathol Super K granules. I used about half of a ten pound bag. I noticed nothing for about two weeks, then started to see some die off. But about a week later I'm noticing that ALL the curly leaf pond weed and all the southern naid or sago pondweed is also dying off. I don't think the aquathol did the whole pond. Rather I'm pretty sure that all the pondweed went the way of the curly leaf and just died back. Except for a few small areas of weak FA, the pond looks great and clear. Tossed in some dye a couple of nights ago and the aeration equipment had it all mixed in by morning. Today the pond looked so inviting we just had to jump in. In the places where our feet touched down, you could feel a small mat of pondweeds still there, but for floating around and swimming it was fantastic. The aeration creates a nice gentle current of cooler water in the middle. Heck I can live with this scenario, weedy in the spring and early summer, great habitat for fish and YOY and then in the dog days of summer, the water clears and the swimming is great. If the weeds stay down through Sept and October I plan to do some serious fishing and canning. Fish still have plenty of habitat if the water table stays up. If it goes down the big fish eat more little fish. Of course next year it will be a new plague of some sort. But until then I am liking the effects of aeration so far. A good investment!
