Before you attempt to burn off the plastic of the vinyl traps watch this video and consider buying the Gee's G-40 galvanized trap.

The Gee's has been around for over 100 years and is still manufactured in the states. The advantage over the black vinyl traps is the mesh is square and has a higher visibility factor. Let me know what you think.
