Are you sure the leftovers from the winter kill are not green sunfish? Post of picture of the larger ones to verify the species. A BG 3/4" in MO in June could be this year's or last year's late spawn fish. BG likely spawned in MO mid to late May. The ones from the first spawn (May 15, 2015) with ample food in mid-June could be 1.0" with lots of zooplankton for food. However most would be 0.5"-0.7" in mid June.
