I like what everyone is doing but have a quick question. Would a collapsible metal floating fish basket work? Seems simple and I have seen them 18"x30" in size. That should hold a lot of cnbg and small bass. Just hang it from the side of your dock or pontoon boat in my case. Pros and cons? Something I'm missing? Are they just not big enough?
I twice tried to stockpile some bluegill using a small collapsible fish basket tied to a low, overhanging tree branch. Both times, a raccoon pulled it from the water, opened the spring loaded door, and removed the fish.
