Pond Boss Forums POND CONSTRUCTION Soil questions Help in Kansas

Well I am sorry to report that the Soda Ash did not work in my pond. I filled it several times this last year and it continues to leak.

At this point I would like to ask if anybody knows of a professional in my area ( Central Kansas ) I need to find somebody to line the bottom with clay or bentonite I guess, either that or fill the thing back in and give up.

smhog, sorry i forget the original story..how big is pond (or how big did you want it to be)?

did you dig test holes or review well driller logs in area to determine if you have any clay at any reasonable depth?

if clay is not close by or too expensive to truck in for your sized pond, you could scale down the pond size and use a liner?

just thinking of a few options....good luck.
