I DO understand watching a siphon drain in TX after 7 to 10 yr. drought. A Freak!!! YES, but if my pond had a siphon I probably would have set down near the end of the discharge, drank and beer and laughed.
Last yr. when my pond finally went over the spillway I took a chair, put it in the middle of the spillway and set there watching the water flow as I wiggled my toes in the water. Not to make it to weird I did have a small net to see if fish were going over too, but that was just an excuse, if my wife caught me!!!
Thanks for the response Highflyer and wish for safe flights. I'll do the same thing! So far we've received about an inch and a half from all these storms coming through. Someday I'll get it full. Ha
12 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (decreasing), SMB, and HSB (only two have been seen in 5 yrs) I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023.
