The pond project is complete and I just finished the 20' x 8' dock yesterday. I used some reclaimed utility poles for posts. I planted them while I was still able to get the back hoe in the future pond. Once placed I had to wait for the pond to fill (and hold) so Mother Nature could freeze the pond and give us a scaffolding platform.
Once complete I ordered some outdoor led spot lights and pointed them down into the water. Topped the deck with 2x8's and capped the post with hand hammered copper caps. Finished off the railing with 1 3/4" Manila rope. I still need to set a post for the outlets and to place the low voltage box on. Here are some photos of the project.
