any one installed uderwater pond lights?
Any idea of a good brand low cost and good function.
I have been looking around and have looked at the underwater dock lights for marine water. They are nice but expensive. Just wondering if any one here might have done this already and save me some searching.

I've bought some. The brand name is Deep Glow and they retail around $400 per. Lights up about a 45-60 ft. radius in my clear water pond. Darker ponds with more algae would be less. The quality is good, and I had one that was defective and they replaced it no questions...

I looked at those but $400 seemed alot for me, but they are nice.

Any PIcs of your pond with lights? Just curious..

Bobby I intend on giving underwater dock lights a try,
but I am several months away.
Heck my dock isn't going in until July.
Let me know what you decide on.

I see your point and I see pictures of a lot of
underwater dock lighting that is way too bright.

I also see houses all the time with exterior lighting
that is way too bright...it's like "hello"
you are not lighting a prison you are accenting
a home...the lighting needs to be an after-thought,
unless you live in the hood. Less is more.

As far as underwater dock lighting..at night my options
would be to basically see nothing because the pond water
would be pitch-black or be able to see the pond water
glow just a bit. Plus you can use it sometimes other times not.

It's not for everybody for a variety of reasons,
but I want to give it a try.

I think the key word is subtle lighting.

I haven't taken pictures...have them out for the time being while I re-landscape my swimming pond. A very beautiful swimming pond, so I guess it really is more of a "pool" than a pond. Having said that, the lights allow your fish to feed easier at night as prey species are attracted to the light for an easier kill by predator fish. Good for the SMB I have in the pond. Growing season is short in Ohio, so I help them where I can.

Yep My Forage pond is in my front yard and is a black hole at night, I would like to light it up some. It will look nice I feel. Just didnt want to spend $400 to light it up. Being a cheapo///LOL
