Bouncing around ideas with what to stock our newest pond with. We have a classic LMB/BG 2 acre, but I want to step outside the box a little bit with out new one.
My concerns are the forage base sustaining about 100 HSB in a 1 acre pond even if it were fed.
One advantage I could think of setting up this way is if it didn't work I could catch out the stripers and just add CNBG and LMB and have a normal pond without having to completely reset my pond.

If water quality is managed well, you aerate and watch the biomass load, I think you'll be OK. I'd go with 100 HSB over 4 years though... Stocking 25 each fall... 100 would be a bit too many when you started getting mature fish.

I think you could combine both species in a stocking scenario and be fine. HSB and SMB are compatible.
