Redear sunfish, even ones from Arkansas, survive beautifully in 32 degree water for weeks on end, but if you bring them up to 75 F in four hours, well...they get brain damage. They do lots of upside down swimming. Gas bubble trama? Elaborate on that a little...
Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.
