snrub, no joke. This thread did take a weird turn.
But as I sit here waiting for things to warm up a smidge, I was reminded of Robert A. Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land".
To paraphrase, "Stranger in a Strange Land is the epic saga of a Nebraskan, Thomas Hudson, born and educated in Lincoln NE, who arrives in Texas with ''psi'' powers -- telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, telekinesis, teleportation, pyrolysis, and the ability to take control of the minds of others -- and complete innocence regarding the mores of man."
TJ will be fine as long as he patiently waits in line, and remembers the eye contact thing.
Pfft - I've watched 6 seasons of Sons of Anarchy, I think I know how to handle the vatos by now. The show even inspired me to start a RMC [Riding Mower Club] up in Lincoln - the Bluegrass Bastardos. I might even wear my cut - it's a North Face vest with a few Daffodils in full bloom on the back. While it's not too threatening, one of the member's daughters did the sketch and we felt obligated to adopt the mascot - she worked on it for a week. In case you're wondering...yes, we wear black socks with our shorts.
