I've never seen a 2lb female BG either, but Bruce would definitely be the guy to ask. In my limited experience the females do tend to feature more of a projected nose and more streamlined general appearance than the males, yet I have seen male BG that featured "shoulders" but not the round, platter profile found on trophy fish.

I wonder if the amount of food available, or lack thereof during the first few months of growth plays a role also. I have seen fast growing BG begin to display the round body dynamic at 4" or even less, provided food is plentiful. And as Bill stated, being genetically predisposed to exhibit this characteristic is a huge plus....Bruce and Cecil have both provided examples of these fish in the past.

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.
