TJ - that 14" yellow perch looks like a male of one of your original stockers. Note the more streamlined belly typical of a big old male YP. My old big male YP typically look like the perch in your above picture. I assume you did not fillet it which would indicate male or female. A female that size in early January should have a more bulky appearance and noticeably larger belly swollen with developing eggs since this fish came from a dense forage fish pond with pellet feeding. If I had some 4" safe ice I would go out and catch a 14" female YP to show what a female that size in early January should look like.
