Any of you pond guru"s out there ever put up a retaining wall inside a pond?? My pond is 3 acres and I have several problems with it including muddy murky water that I am in the process of clearing with gypsum, but now have a few extra dollars and would like to dump it in the pond.
I have a real issue with water coming in from the shed on one end so fast is stirs and brings in mud, also has cut a 6 foot wide 15 foot gully into my yard and getting bigger with each rain.
I dont want to put a bunch of rip rap around the end but have seen several with a wall made from railroad tie wall place inside and the dirt filled in to fill the void. I have also seen where people take postsof some kind and place them uprite to form a rather nice looking wall. I have a 175 foot area and I am trying to figure a way to hold down the expense. Anybody out there done anything like this and if so could you explain some details.
I might add it is very dry and we have not had any rain in some time, temps in th 97 - 102 range here in the midwest so I need to do something befor the rain come if it ever does.
