RAH, I completely agree that the majority of Americans do not need to hunt strictly for provisions. I can show you a couple families down here that do not fit that demographic, however.
I don't deer hunt, never have. I have been fortunate in that I've never needed to supplement our food supply by taking wild game. Were that situation to change however, I am confident that I could provide for my family's needs with a minimal expenditure of time and effort.
