Shoot them high in the shoulder and they drop. Only prob is it ruins the front shoulders most of the time. Heart shot will run like all get out till they bleed out. If it's a trophy I don't want any running or tracking, as I have seen them run into trees an bust up their antlers. Mostly a judgment call and sometimes what shot is provided.

Hey Pat your right high shoulder will drop em. I shot mine in the shoulder but did not get high enough and then the tracking began! Course all of this happened in about 10 to 15 seconds. At least I found him! Thank goodness.
