Mark, I've tried it twice now, and both times had limited success. Ewest was a big help to me, and maybe he'll see this and have more info.

Blocking Net The 3 biggest issues I had were:
1) bottom contour. You've really got to weigh the bottom down to prevent gaps.
2) predators. The area blocked needs to be as void of predators as possible, or the blocked area turns into an all you can eat buffet.
3) water fluctuations. If your water level rises and falls with rains, you might need to extend the netting well up onto the shore line.
I made all these mistakes, but now I have a better handle on the process. I'd do it again in a heart beat if I needed it.
