Crap, just thought of another question - during the winter should I aerate or otherwise treat the small extension/protrusion of the pond? My concern is if fish get caught in there during a really deep freeze the small 4' deep connection could be froze solid and they could be trapped. Any worries of this in Mid Michigan area? Supposed to be a nasty winter this year. . .
