I have never gotten the "hacked by Neptune" message here, but I get it a lot on ebal when clicking a picture, rather than a word description link to a listing....

IDK, Gavins. I've never had an issue on the forum with the browser redirect, just on eBay, so it is definitely not just confined here. I also only had it happen one evening late last week, no issue since then.

I've never had this problem, but then again, I'm always running anti-virus, clean the computer at least once a week and it updates every day.

It's the message you get when you accidentally go to the old server that PB forum used to be on.

How would you get on the old server that this happens? Does it happen when you use the search feature thru the PB site? I'm like esshup, hasn't happened to me...... yet.

Hey Guys,

I'm a computer tech. I don't normally do this but, this forum is family.

I use the following program almost on a daily basis.

It has a 2 week trial. Its 100% safe. The way you get it is relatively simple.

Goto google.com

Type in "filehippo malwarebytes" the reason for this is that I know its a trustworthy site.

****IMPORTANT****
On the top right corner it says "Download Latest Version I just checked it's version 2.0.2
16.49 MB

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ELSE!!!

Install this trial and run a scan. After the scan is run, it will most likely find problem files.

I never get the Neptune "Error".

If you don't feel comfortable with this "Fix" then please don't do it.

Otherwise good luck. I hope it works for you.

Cheers,

DL
P.S It fixes other problems also. After 2 weeks you can uninstall the program and the repairs remain.

I checked on the post but the link had been deleted.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I checked it out and when I click on that link I get the "hacked by Neptune" message. The link is as stated by captwho, and in the post by member andedammen of Norway, page 8. It asks for login information to be entered, when I am already logged in. I did not try to proceed at that point. I am not that computer savy, but for the most part when I am asked for info like that in an "odd area", I don't trust it.

Is what the clickable link is in the muddy water thread. Since all that was in that particular post was that link, I deleted that post. I clicked on it and got the same "hacked" window that opened.

Copy and past a clickable link to that page next time and we'll see if it can be remedied.

A clickable link something like this: http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.ph...lat&fpart=1

I still believe the "hacked by Neptune" message is nothing more than finding a broken link to the old server before the last forum upgrade. Here is an old link that gets you to the "hacked by Neptune" page.
