Indeed. On the down side, they almost never reproduce, at least in ponds. There are, of course, some pondmeisters that are grateful for this; I wouldn't know, having resisted all of Sparkie's attempts to get me interested in hybrids of any classification, including hybrid strippers. It is also known that even when mixed with a healthy population of RES, hybrid strippers have no more intrinsic disease resistance than regular strippers, and have been found to be vectors of some pretty nasty surprises.
