The fireworks were pretty good in Chicago too. I think the show went on for about 15 minutes.

They do some pretty fancy shows and the hill across the channel where the Musical Fountain is has been on fire a few times
Plenty of fireworks yet to go this summer on the waterfront. Coast Guard Festival is a pretty huge event.
I can get you out of Grand Haven pretty easy going North, South or East, but you'll have to go with the traffic flow getting in, and that really sucks! It's much quicker walking from a private vantage point, even if it may be 2+ miles. Trust Me
