My grandfather passed away yesterday. He was 90 and served in the Pacific in WWII. He was a great influence on me. I remember many summer days going fishing down at the pond. The many trips to the trout stream. He was part of a special generation that is sadly slowly leaving us. He no doubt was a major reason I have such love for fish and ponds.


I am sorry CJ my GF was 92 and you are right I am always reminded of my GF when I hear that song Last of a dying Breed! That's what they are for sure!! I too grew up with my GF on the farm and his pond and his cabin on the lake!! He and Grandma molded me in ways I can only hope I can with my grand kids one day!! I am sorry my friend!
