Recorded earlier and watched last night. Loved it… The man cave for your dad was unbelievable.. The other couple had an outside TV. How do they protect from the elements? And, were they solar also??
Just do it...

A guy at work with brought it up. I said I met them at Bruce Condellos house. Who? You know that big a Pond Boss thing I was raving about last summer when I went to Nebraska? Oh they said. I had to break out pictures. Lol! It's funny how we have our own celebrities.

Set your DVR's!
Just a reminder for those of you (like me) who missed it the first time, "Lake Life" will be aired this Saturday, June 7th at 11:00 AM CDT and also at 11:30 AM CDT on the DIY Network (Channel 230 if you have DirecTV).

Got our DVR set.

Nate, we DVR'ed and watched the shows Saturday night. They were a hit with Momma, and she said would definitely put them in the rotation.
I will add that I'll seek your advice on cordless power tools. If they last for you guys, I'll bet they last for me.

I will add that I'll seek your advice on cordless power tools. If they last for you guys, I'll bet they last for me. I didn't get a chance to see the show but I do have a bunch of experience with cordless. Stay away from the Lithium Ion battery if you continuously use your tool. We run screws all day long and can drain faster then they can charge with two battery's. Heat builds up in the battery pack and will not fully charge. You really need to let the battery cool before use and if you are continuously running it can't be done with only two packs. Three maybe with one cooling in rotation. Sent all out Lithium Ion stuff back (Lasted 4 months) and when to the Ni-MH XR battery's again. Cheers Don.

Here is what we have figured out on cordless power tools... We use the rigid brand by Home Depot because they guarantee those products for a couple years. We just take the burned out batteries and chargers and stuff back to the store every year and they replace with new ones.
All the batteries and impacts and chargers and such are interchangeable which is nice!
Also each guy needs 2 drills and 4 batteries per day to keep everything cool (regardless of the brand). We are indeed very hard on tools and can tell you the best brands and deals for every type of hand power tool, various saws, etc...
Funny y'all mention that!

Thanks for that tip Nate! I have a cordless drill that needs to be replaced and there's a Home Depot about 1/2 hr away.

Well, supposedly America loved the show and Great American Country channel is taking it from DIY and we start filming July 1st for the next 4 months. Still doesnt feel real, but been having meetings with big corporations like John Deere and Kubota and Chevy and Ridgid, etc For a guy like me thats the coolest thing ever...
So the new format for the show is 50% lifestyle and 50% projects. Most everything is lined up to do for this summer, to incorporate into our existing schedule and committments, but I am planning on hitting up the Pond Boss for a texas visit for sure to set the stage for future episodes!
GAC as a channel is being revamped and they are plannin for our show to be their main show. So now its time to rock n roll and get er done!

Congratulations Nate & Company. They used to say that James Brown was the "Hardest working man in Show Business". Now we know it is Nate Herman.
