heybud- have you talked to anyone about a water well? I would give my left big toe and $10,000 for a good well. My neighbor dug one only 300 yards from me and got 1/2 GPM. That is not even worth drilling. They went down to 400' but only hit shell after 180'. I just wonder if I would hit a better well here. I don't think 3-400 yards would be that much different. I would sure check it out if I were you. It would be much better than watching the pond dry up.
Hey Guys, here's some Texas Major and Minor Aquifer info that might help you decide on drilling water wells.
I checked it out last summer and no chance of decent water well in Delta County.
Major aquifers on each side of county.
We opted for pond renovation and deepening shallow upper end for more water capacity.
