As far as I know it will not help clear muddy water. It will kill your plankton bloom and other various plant life if your alkalinity is not to low. This might make a pond that has a plankton bloom look clearer but I have never heard of it effecting mud suspended in the water. It can also kill your fish and any use should only be after you fully read the instructions and understand them.I would be very cautious on any use of it.
