Last time we were this warm was Oct 12th of last year. Almost 6 months ago!

I'm going to gamble and take off the snow tires. But, they are calling for snow flurries Monday morning.......

It's 73 F. right now air temp. Surface water temp in the big pond exposed to the wind is 53 F. on the surface and 49.9 on the bottom. With the high winds I wouldn't be surprised if the temps got up to the upper 50's or even low 60's by the end of the day.

I turned on the diffusers to warm the water faster so I can get better feeding and feed into the fish faster.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

81 degrees here with a 70% chance of thunderstorms late tonight, I have my fingers crossed, we really need the moisture.

I hate to admit it, but I got pretty toasty while cutting wood today....little cooler would've felt nice.

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Supposed to hit 78 here tomorrow, then a high of 32 on Tuesday. Fed the perch for the first time today, most of the fish were near the surface sunning! Very cool to see. All appear to have made it through the winter very well... except perhaps the walleye which I saw none of.

Walleye don't like sunlight. Best way to see them is with a spotlight after dark this time of year. Look for glowing eyes.

I never see them, only when I catch them. I've tried the spotlight many times with no luck. Most of last year I thought they were goners until I started catching them.
Excited to have a warm day today! Shorts weather!

Pretty decent T-Storm passed thru this morning. All the bell's and whistles!

Kinda weird, but for some reason, this one sounded angry. Never heard one like this before. Not your typical T-Storm.

I think you're safe. If you can't drive on a few flakes of snow without special tires, you should consider moving South smile wink

It's gonna be 82 here (Anna Maria Island) today and I'm afraid to walk barefoot on that hot sand. Man we all have our challenges.

It hit 82 yesterday also, supposed to get in the upper 70s today! Took the day off to enjoy and to get up my bluebird houses. 14 and counting. It was just a bad weekend to have a crappy cold, but powered through it anyway.

It was in the 70's here yesterday. Was in my shorts wading around the edge of the pond playing with some FA. It is now 34 and supposed to get down to 28 tonight. We have some corn plants 2 inches tall.

Crazy weather.

53 for a high today (at midnight) with a low of 28, a high of 38 tomorrow with a low of 22. No farmers around here are even thinking of planting yet, only a few are even able to disc and condition the fields - still too wet. But the guys that are installing center pivot irrigation systems are working like crazy. If I drive 12 miles South, I'll bet there are 6 going in this year in those 12 miles, and 8 went in that same stretch last year. One center pivot is huge. It can irrigate a 1 mile diameter area. (1/2 mile radius)

Sure hope you don't run into issues like the Curtis Creek Trout Rearing Station in Howe does in the summer when the irrigators are going full steam. They have issues pumping enough water. This could effect your pond level. frown

Unfortunately, it does affect the pond level already. When the center pivots are running that are within 3/4 mile of my pond, I'll see a 1" drop in pond level per day until the pond reaches about 6' below full pool if I don't run the well into the pond. The aquifier underground is huge, but my pond isn't dug THAT deep. wink

If I had my druthers, I'd have waited a few years and put more $$ into the bank to line the pond with clay when I renovated it. I guess hindsight is 20/20.

We had thunderstorms yesterday with hail and winds. Then the cold front came through and the temperature dropped 20 degrees F in a hour. This morning it was windy and snowed heavily for a hour or two. Crazy weather....

It's snowing right now as I write this. About a half inch of snow on the deck so far.
