Bryan, cant help ya with the fish and I am no expert on ponds. But I dont live far from you (Batson) and have been working on a similar problem with my pond and mud. You can search the back posts on muddy water and get alot of good info. To start get a glass jug (gallon) of pond water and let it set for a week or so. If it doesnt clear then add lime or gypsum. I used gypsum and started with 1/8 teaspoon and waited for it to clear. Then calculated how much to put in my pond. The next question will be how to apply it.
