I'm in South Central Michigan, Hillsdale County. I run air on one end of my pond and the hole got down to about 6 feet wide at the peak of the cold this year. My ice got to 15" deep at the coldest time.
I am now open at the air for a full third of my 120' long pond and have rainbow trout. Do you all think that rainbows will have the same temperature requirement of 55 to 60 degrees for feeding?
By the way, went ice fishing twice this winter and caught 2 trout each time with a pathetic 2 for 10 on the bite to catch ratio
