Hello everybody, I recently (November 2013) bought a house with a half acre pond approximately 15-20 deep in the middle. Didn't have much time before it froze do anything to the pond. The previous owner said the pond was stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill. The ice finally melted yesterday and I was out waking the edge of the pond and found about 15-20 dead fish on the bank. They were mostly bluegill and bass but there was two catfish, one being over 24". I didn't know if this was normal with a rough winter or if I had something else to be concerned about. I have never had a pond so I am a total rookie.

Another side note - in December we had a car run off the road and land in the pond. It was in the for about an hour. Didn't know if that could have something to do with it.
