Koi carp are river carp (Cyprinus carpio) with color and goldfish are related but not the same species. They feed differently. They are "doable" in a pond with lots of bass to eat their youngsters. Too many koi and goldfish will create muddy water. Muddy water will dramatically reduce the productivity and food chain in the pond and thus the amount of sport fish that will live in the pond. I would never stock them in a sport fish pond.
