As you may have heard on the news, we had an ice storm overnight. Here are photos from the end of my driveway, looking West and then East at the country road we live on. I've never seen this much ice on the roads before. It is over an inch thick. It is still just 30 degrees outside.
When I went outside it sounded like rifle shots as tree branches were breaking.
My driveway isn't much better. I put the snowplow down, but it either slid along the surface, or it would hit a lump of frozen snow and the springs would let it collapse.
