Cecil, I remember catching YP in IIRC late March that were just about ready to spawn. I was catching them in 3' to 4' of water over what used to be a bed of chara.
Open water? When? Recently? Or the 70's?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
