I would be leery of adding BG without LMB. BUT..if you add LMB, then the YP will suffer or vanish. Then you want it fun for kids. I wonder if the GSF are plentiful, would that be fun for kids like a BG pond? The GSF then might be forage for the walleye (I don't know, but throwing it out there). Wait and see what others might come up with. The HSB will have to get really big before they can start eating small BG, and then they won't keep up. Look for some old posts by TJ who has BG and HSB and SMB, they are informative.
You are right, the more you read here, the better off you will be. Lots to learn. Take your time with it, once fish are in it's sometimes hard to reverse that impromptu decision. Think twice, stock once.
