Thanks so much for your input, Gentlemen. I went with my friend about a month ago to look at what a seller was calling a modular home. The home was beautiful, actually luxurious, but I advised that the purchase not be made because I suspected that if a resale would be attempted thirty years from now, depreciation would deal a stunning blow, whereas with a true modular or stick-built home, value could appreciate or at least remain the same.
I'll advise looking into America's Best and further modular research and if the results are unsatisfactory, I'll recommend stick built.
