I can't attest to the taste of the box crab. It never seemed worth the effort to try to break into one, I think it would take a sledge hammer. They always get their freedom.

Holy COW those look good!!
We used to catch blues off the pier when I was in the Navy stationed in Virginia...a good late spring crab boil Cajun style has got to be one of the best meals ever.

DJ, we pick the meat from king crab bodies. I always assumed the bodies were picked in the factories and the meat sold in Asia.

Here's my father in-law with a halibut from the same day, caught in 15' of water while catching tomcod for bait.

Here's my father in-law with a halibut from the same day, caught in 15' of water while catching tomcod for bait. I need one about that size to bring in to the Dock at Apalachicola Fl. and try and pass it off as a Southern Flounder LOL. Nice fish, good times, good life
