That may help some people, I am almost a strictly hands on learner though, reading about how to cast just doesn't sink into my thick head. Heck, I still can't do a decent haul...
I do agree that there are a number of different schools of thought and different people will find useful techniques from various areas. Bottom line for me, find a good teacher and spend some time with hands onith instruction.

Me too CMM - I hate having to read to learn when hands on instruction is more beneficial - that's why my backyard is popular hangout for would be fly flingers.
