If the metric system is so great, why do we need conversion tables?
Because the greatest country in the world will not change to metric.
I don't really mean for this to be political, I don't even know who was on what side, but one of this country's greatest waste of money in the last quarter of the 20th century was to try to convert us to metric. What a boondoggle.
In my line of work, I've watched the push, and the resistance!
Funny thing tho. Many products I deal with now from around the globe are all in US Customary units as primary, and metric as secondary. IE; fractional!
