the larvae need some salt to develope and survive I believe. Once past the larvae stage pure fresh is fine according to the googles. That's the point that I was trying to make. I don't think he researched their breeding habits very well. What I found was they reproduce in salt water and the larvae migrate to fresh water. They haven't been seen in Ohio for a long, long time from what I could see. TJ, I agree about the grass shrimp, but again, he'd have to research what habitat they need to reproduce and have the YOY survive.
