Salt is used as a drug in aquaculture. I use Salt when I know fish are stressed for some reason. I personally believe the addition of salt to pond management allows fish a more stress free environment. Any response or adaptation to stress requires the expenditure of energy that would otherwise be utilized for maintaining normal body functions such as growth. wink
