esshup,the Bulgarian name for it was толстолоб Шаран (tolstolob sharan or carp) After a quick google search I'm pretty sure it is the Bighead carp.Generally speaking the tolstolob is harder to get and more expensive then the German/common carp and much better tasting.I would happily have the tolstolob again but if it is common carp I might ask if there where other options.
