The weather forecast (by the National Weather Service) says -19 F for the low temperature in our area (next 18 hours). Enter your best estimate (to the 10th of a degree ((like -19.4)); the actual low temperature on my weather station. Hint; we are generally a few degrees colder out here near the river bottom. All bets are due by midnight central standard time, this date 12/06/2013. There will be a nice prize that I will send to you on my dime. It will be something useful, pond, hunting or fishing related. Our record at the farm was -30 some years back. A very large cottonwood just split up the middle and fell over. When it got back in the 20s it felt like a heat wave. Single digits is bad enough! Six degrees now.

Our high of +18 for today. I'll bet the ground freezes pretty good this year. No snow cover and in the single digits for lows.
This is like January! The pond ice is looking good tho.
