ok I have just raked the algea out to edge of the pond. As I am doing so I ask myself a question. When the algea dries out is it dead? When a rain comes will it act as a seed a start the cycle over? I have had my supplyer of my algea spray tell not to spray when the water is below 50deg. I have very good luck spraying here in Ohio when the air temp stays above 50 for a couple of days and sun stays out even though the water may below 50.Any Ideas?

I've always figured plenty of algae cells/strandlets were left in the pond to start a new FA batch when water conditions were right for it the next time.
