I have had good water levels all spring and summer. Some loss but not significant. Pond has seem to drop more drastic in the last 2 months. Pond has dropped about 3-5 inches just lately and is currently about 10 inches from full pool. Is this due to evaporation? I have read about evaporation rates in the summer. I'm curious about the fall. We have a few nights in the 20's and daily highs anywhere from 55 - 80 and wind? Just hope I don't have a leak!

I've had plenty of loss from evap (plus leak) this fall. Think of how fast a bucket of 80 degree water will "steam off" when it gets in the 20s! You will loose a TON of water if you water is warm on cold, chilly nights with wind. It is an ideal evaporation scenario.
