If your barrels are PP, and breaking down, they may be quite a bit older than you think. Could be some other material.
Don't know of anything cheap and accurate for your measurement goals tho. Not plug in, but there may be something out there. Check with China, they usually have one of everything
OK, the pigs feet have a distinct after taste to them. I hope it goes away soon
