Brook, I found out I did the same thing during my pond construction, about a year after the fact, when I found morels growing all the way up to the banks of the ponds. No telling how many I sacraficed in the main basin and flooded draws, but the edges of the pond still produce to a degree. Agree, it was a solid tradeoff...we can always walk the Platte river in the Spring.
TJ, when I visit next spring, you are taking a day or two off and we're going mushroom hunting!
