Not verified yet but allegedly this 15 lb. largemouth was caught in Massachusetts recently.

Yes it's far north for a bass that size but it's not unprecedented as the state record is 15 lbs. 8 oz.

Why so big so far north? Probably herring that make runs into freshwater ponds. Also the state heavily stocks waters in the state with trout.

I'm a former resident of the bay state. It's a small state but has 5000 lakes and reservoirs.
Not uncommon to have a town have it's own reservoir.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Bass probably has a broken jaw after being held like that, but then again it probably is going on the guy's wall so it won't much matter.

Just hope he found a good taxidermist if that is the case. Some of the worst fish taxidermy I've ever seen has been in that state.

Not saying there aren't any good ones but I haven't seen any while i was there.

A fish that size is almost impossible to hold correctly I think. You can break the jaw this way for sure. Two hands can still hurt the fish because they weigh so much and obviously werent meant to be handled out of the water. Looks like it is at his house though so release isnt an issue.
