I have purchased some habitat to try to eliminate submerged pondweed. Its growing in the shallow water out to about six feet of depth. Can anyone advise us on proper application for best results.I know the label says not intended for submerged plants but have read here on this forum that it will work.
Thanks,,,,,Dan

Habitat is not used for under water weeds-as stated. I would NOT recommend using this. It would be an expensive mistake-in my opinion. There is plenty of other products for pondweed control.
Just curious...why did you pick Habitat for this?

Thanks for your reply. What other products will eliminate this stuff rather than just burn it back like reward does?
Thanks

Me also. Habitat did not work on my var. leaf pondweed. Reward only burned it back and it came back stronger. Same for other attempts. Next try probably sonar. Before I tried Habitat I checked with maker and they checked with the Prof. who did their testing. He said it might work but not labeled for or intended to do so.

I have found that Grass Carp are a great pondweed antidote.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Yes, Sonar will take care of this systemically. Expensive, but worth it.
